I have returned!!

Well...The Doty clan is all back together and in Abilene. You may have been wondering if I would ever post on blogger again...well here I am. After not having the internet for 3 days of being back in Abilene, I decided this morning...that life without the internet is no life at all...jk...I just need something to do while Jaxon is taking a nap. Oh and something else that is not worth living without...a DVR. I won't start on my rant. but really I miss it. K so y'all know about our Zoo trip, but Ashley posted some shots on her Facebook so I thought I would share.

Here is the grumpy princess.

And here is a few shots of Jaxon and Avery in the tub...Jaxon's head is really focused on all the bathtime Dora toys...soooo you don't see her too much...but Avery sure is cute. Y'all should all know that after the water drained out of this bathtub...it looked like a sandbox. Both of these girls collected half of a sandbox in their diapers and brought it back to Ashley's...they had so much fun though!

That's all on the update...well I guess I can tell you that Jaxon is talkin a bit more. She loves to say Apple, Ice, Cup of Ice (only it sounds like "coco Ice.") she calls Horton, Borto...but I know what she is saying...she can name 2 backyardigans, Austin=Autin, and Pablo=Pabo...Dora is Dida, Boots is boo...she lets you know when she has peed or pooped by grabbing her diaper and says "poopoo"...today i said..."you wanna change your diaper" and clear as day she said, "change your diaper" ...she says "seeeet...GO," for on your mark, get set, go......Ohhhh and when she makes a basket she turns around raises her hands in the air and says "whoo whoo"...i will have to video that soon...there are tons of other things I just can't think of any more right now.
News on David...he comes back from Iraq on June 3...so pray for his safety all the way through that. And he will be in Killen for 6 months (i think) then he will be transferred to Germany. Which is cool...because it's not Iraq...or Afghanistan...or Mexico...or any other crazy place in the world right now.
On lighter news...I am now a member of Facebook. Heaven help me.

I love the Zoo

Well it's our first week in Smithville and we just have had a party everyday since we have been here!! Actually, we took a day trip to Houston and were there for about 15 minutes, or 24 hours, but whatever. We were able to watch Reid on the baseball diamond and he pitched their team to a victory...and then we went to the Houston Zoo!! It was way too much fun. The first animal we saw was my favorite. The tiger. I really just wanted to go give him a hug....and here is a did you know...did you know that there are possibly more tigers living in the state of Texas than there are living in their natural habitat??? They are that close to extinction. It makes me so sad.

So moving on. Jaxon is all sorts of out of wack lately. First off...we haven't stayed in a place long enough for her to realize where home is...so saying that she is a cranky may be an understatement. And Friday had been the last time she had pooped!! I know y'all don't care but it works into the story here.

Here is grouchy pants in a stroller for 2. She wouldn't let Avery in it without throwing a fit. She missed alot while pouting...but too bad for her.
After trecking across half of the zoo keeping up with Avery on foot...Mitch decided to get our stroller so Avery could be easily carted too.

So still with the pouty face.
Avery being the sweet cousin that she is wanted to cheer Jaxon up and gave her kisses in her stroller.

Well we found the reptiles...and Jaxon perked up a little when she was able to name her ONLY animal...the crocodilio. Yes this is an Alligator...but Jaxon learned how to say crocodile in spanish and I'm all for hearing it a million times.
Well, we stopped to rest our leggies and let the girls run around a little picnic area...and Jaxon pooped...and her little body was ready to party from then on!!!

We went to the petting part of the zoo and instead of petting the goats...she ran her little hiney off...and tried to pick up some...umm goat droppings...clearly confusing them for chocolate chips. Anyway, mommy and daddy were fast enough to keep her away from disaster.

And then we let them play at the kiddy park...she enjoyed the slide with Reid...and A Hippos tongue. It's amazing what a good bowel movement can do for a toddler.

what's going on?!

Hello everyone! Well we are officially moved out of our house and have basically moved in with my mom for a couple months (pray. just pray). My new motto, that someone so sweet helped me out with is..."it will be over in a minute." which in the grand scheme of things...a couple months is nothing compared to a lifetime or even 5 months :) . anyway. spring break is coming soon and a well awaited trip to see neena and the whole houston crew is coming up!! we also had the best garage sale EVER...in your face husband!!

Jaxon is a little confused as to why we are staying with Neenee everynight but she may be getting the hang of it...and while Petey has turned into a real dog and has stayed outside everynight this week (yes i know it's only Tuesday)....Tex is being spoiled at camp Neena!! I even heard he was able to sneak up on the bed and cuddle with Neena last night...we are keeping that a secret from Papaw right now, but when he actually reads these blogs us girls have I may just sheepishly blush and apologize to Tex because it will never happen again.

I am blogging from my granny's computer b/c mine is packed away and my moms computer is the most frustrating thing ever...i know this because it used to be mine. so blogging may not be caught up frequently on doty's dish.

I had a baby appt today, and it was just the normal checkup only this morning I could have sworn that i could actually feel my Fallopian Tubes trying to kill me. When I asked my dr. about it he just laughed at me...and said it's not the tubes...it's just ligaments and whatnot pulling. Speaking of my baby...she kicks and kicks and kicks...I feel her all the time...but once someone puts their hand to my belly she stops....and speaking of "she" i need to ask you people a question...if you were a girl (which most of you are) would you die if your name was Maddux Lane?? I love it...sure Angelina started the Maddox trend but really naming a child MaddUx has been something i have wanted to do since before adopting children from every country was cool. so i am not following a trend...i just didn't have babies fast enough. so now i'm rambling and i really want to know your thoughts on being named Maddux Lane.

Sorry no pics...but i am on granny's computer...i promise to blog again when at neena's...o and Twilight comes out March 21st!!

10 things.

Well, I have been waiting to do my 10 facts that I was tagged with by the one and only K-luv Shrockstar. I'm sure most of you guys know by now what most of my facts will be about. Anyway, here goes...

1. My favorite color is green. If I see anything in a store that has "my" green I just start flocking towards it. During the St. Patricks day sales...my brain gets high with all the green around.

2. I agree with my softball girls. I miss playing softball. And now I miss coaching it...of course my pitching lessons are very rewarding...I love seeing them accomplish what I have taught them...it reminds me that I DO know what I'm talking about. (Knocking nuckles...that's all I'm saying...if you understand, you understand...if not...well it's a great story.)

3. I love my family. It's amazing how you can just love your husband so much and out of the blue a baby comes and teaches you a whole new way to love.

4. I am on number 4 and I really have no clue what else is a fact about me. ummm Twilight is soooo my favorite book.

5. I love my dogs...my boxers...I almost feel like no other dog can compare.

6. These are my second child's feet.

7. This is my second child's face.

8. My second child is in fact a.....girl. So now I have a pitcher and a catcher ;)

9. I want to move to Houston. like tomorrow.

10. My favorite number is 10!!

This is a video of Jaxon diving head first...yeah she already knows how.

Lastly...We are packing up everything in our house...so there is no telling when I will blog next...so just so you know...I'm not keeping you out of my business...I'm just packin up.

Eye, Ear, Nnnnn and Happy Birthday!!

Just a little update for my friends out there...to let everyone know Jaxons little bump is all healed up now and there are no more pink head bands. We have a couple little videos of her latest 'tricks(?)' if you will. She started to say eyes, ear, and nose when we point to them...well she says nnnnnnnn for nose...but I know what's going on.

In this second video, we were or Mitch was trying to put her to sleep but she was in the goofiest mood so we made an exciting happy birthday neena video...which is basically more of the same tricks...it is just dedicated to her wonderful neena!!

Speaking of that wonderful woman, here is my 'dedication post' if you will. O what a wonderful Mother in law. Seriously, I could not have been blessed with a more nurturing, loving woman to be another parental figure to me. And my daughter is even luckier to have her as her Neena. Her actual birthday was on Friday but finding time to sit at the computer was a little difficult...and she knows the same because not only is she a wonderful mother and grandmother, but she is also a fantastic daughter. Nana and Poppi are so lucky to have her take care of them...and I know, she has taken care of me plenty of times. So happy birthday Lynn from the family. We love you.

Last little tidbit of information. My brother David has been in a funk lately. Apparently, 2 of his friends were killed recently and of course he has seen his fair share of death in his last two tours in Iraq but these men were close to him. I can only imagine how difficult it is to be over there and try to separate all the death you see and the reality of what life should be like. But now that 2 of his friends have been lost he is having difficult coping. What IS a blessing in disguise, is that he took up kickboxing over there as some kind of extra curricular activity...well that's not the blessing...but a blessing to me is that he broke his foot a couple days ago and will not be in battle for at least a month!!! Of course I would love for him to come back, but that's not an option...but I'm happy to know he will be behind a desk for a while.

I hope you enjoy your Jaxon videos...and please keep Nana and Poppi's health in your prayers...and my brothers.

Probably.

Ok. So probably, it's been a while since I posted my last Jaxon blog....but probably I have been busy. I'm lying...really I just found a new series of books to read and I just haven't wanted to sit at the computer.
But, because I love you all, probably, I put together a million pictures from our fun Christmas to our crazy Monday night.

Here is our little goof-ball on Christmas Morning...this bundle of joy wasn't sure what she was about to get herself into.

Probably she was a little excited.

And probably she had no idea where we were going to put all of these new toys...o wait that was my probably and not hers. check out my morning hair. eep!
Probably the best gift of all...her little Tinkerbell 4 wheeler...remember this toy later on in the blog.

She was very excited to see Dora on Nana and Poppi's front lawn...and probably she wanted to take her home with her.

Probably Brooks was treading on new territory...Jaxon had apparently forgot how to share over the holidays...and was really into taking away Avery's toys and not wanting to share hers...just like her daddy. jk.

However, Jaxon and Avery tested their Tinkerbell batteries till they needed a new charge...so update over Christmas...Jaxon learned a few more names over the holidays...she decisively began calling most of her grandpas, papa. She has a papa, pops, papaw, and a poppi...all sound like papa...and then she learned Heather's name, YAYA! and of course Neena was already instilled into her brain. And now she has a new name...one morning on the way to Grannys house...Jaxon just started yelling "Giggi! Giggi!" So I know Cathy has already staked a claim on her grandkids calling her giggi...but it's too cute to try and correct. She also has gotten really good at saying, "No." Really good.
For New Years, we went to a lake cabin of a friend of ours off of lake Brownwood. We had a blast enjoying things we don't have...like Blu-Ray dvd players...huge, ginormous TVs, and a Wii...and my body was sore the next day. anyway, I took 4 pics while we were there...Jaxon is all of them.

Here she is eating pizza at the table like a big girl.

And the other was of her in the huge ginormous bed...and we were eating breakfast that her daddy made for us while we were in bed!!
So our entertaining Monday night. Let's start with Sunday...while trying to put Jaxon's hair in a pony tail...i noticed a little bump on the back of her head. It was about the size of a mosquito bite and was red...so I thought to myself hmmm....probably a little bug bite. Well later that evening Mitch noticed it...when I completely had forgotten about it...and then he started mentioning all these scary options like her having a staff infection. So Monday rolls around and as I'm getting off work and he is getting done with practice he decides he wants to take her to a walk-in type of clinic that is by my grandmas house. There were no other patients, so he just decided...well why not.
After sitting in the house for about 30 minutes, Mitch calls and says "why don't you come up here." Gulp. So I lock up Petey, run out the door and I get there as fast as Mitchell's truck would get me there. I enter the office and the ladies lead me to my angel who I hear crying...and I turn the corner, and she is just so happy to see me. Well, what's going on? Probably it wasn't a bite...it was an abscess...what does that mean? I dunno. But the Dr. recommended to slice it open, get all the gunk out...and give her antibiotics...Gulp (again). Well, if that's whats best.
So before we head to the "operating room" I see a picture of Tinkerbell. And I show Jaxon...and she points and says "dere's Tinka!" She was just so excited.
Next room...no Tinka. In fact, it's just pretty Vogue models and Jaxon points to each and says "Tinka? Tinka?" Like, why in the world would you take me away from Tinka...well the Dr. and assistant are ready and they wrap her up like a burrito...Jaxon was already not into that...Mitchell had to hold her head...I held her feet...one nurse held her butt area...and the other nurse was the scalpel lady...and then the Dr. pulled out the needle. And omigosh if I could have passed out from seeing what was going into her head I would have...but I turned away and Mitchell saw the rest.
What he saw was the medicine going into the infected area...then I glanced and saw a scalpel...i turned away again...and Mitchell said "wow." I looked again and I see him pulling "stuff" out but really all I see is blood just everywhere...I look away again...and then I hear Mitch say "uhh I wasn't expecting that." Curiosity killed me, and I see the Dr. spreading it open with scissors and just ugh...ok no more description because it was basically over. We sat her up...they wrapped her up while she was still screaming...and gave her a sucker...after the sucker magic started to work she looked at me and goes "Tinka?"
Oh, my sweetheart. So here are the after pictures of our war veteran. She is always so pretty in pink.

Petey checked on her...and no further development in the Petey case...just know that him and Tex have yet to be in the same room together.

Today, our lunch menu consisted of Ramen noodles and Peas...she wanted to play with my chopsticks and so I let Jaxon-son give it a try.

Not too bad...definitely better than her daddy.

She's a goofball like him too.

Heartbroken and don't know what to do.

So...you all know how much i love my family...my husband who is fantastic, my daughter who is perfect...the fetus growing inside of me...and the two fur balls who have completed my life since 3 and 4 years ago. Well, (this blog is about my dogs btw), most of you know that my dogs have a history of fighting with each other...not with anyone or anything else...just eachother. It's the alpha male in Petey that just triggers something sometimes and man can he take it out on Texas.

Well we had been keeping them separated (one inside and one outside) while we were away from the house...until one got separation anxiety or something (boxers get that) and began peeing in the house. We tried the other...after a few days the same thing happened...peeing in the house...which is just stupid for potty trained dogs...i mean they can go from 8 at night to 10 in the morning without peeing in the house but an hour and a half during the day time and it's enough to make me vomit when i walk through the front door.

Needless to say we couldn't have the house smelling that way so we decided we had to keep them outside. They have been getting along fine for months...maybe something changed.

So today they fought...and I have been crying since 5 pm because I know we have to make a decision. Tex is ok. The fight was alot worse than his scars are going to be...but it's not fair to him to let Pete stay here...it's not safe for one of our kids to play in the backyard with him back there...because you just never know what COULD happen. And Pete has been a saint with Jaxon...he lets her climb, pull, pet, and kiss all over him...but after seeing what he did to Tex today, AHHHH! So, I'm heartbroken.
One of two things is about to happen...one...which is the happier one is that we build two pins (that we don't have money for) and just bring them in together at night which makes me kind of sad because they do love eachother (sometimes) and the second choice which thoroughly breaks my heart is to give Petey to someone else. I feel like I would be failing him or something...I know he's just a dog...but OMG if one person says that to me I will probably scream...they have never been just dogs to me and certainly never been treated that way. So if I give him away who do I give him to? I want someone who will spoil him like I do...love on him at night...rub his back...feed him people food...rub his ears...play flashlight chase...just all our little things...but I will never know if I give him away. And...AND he is like the first initial thing that David gave to me...y'all know my strained relationship with my brother!!! Petey was his dog first...and when Dave comes to visit me I know in part it's to see and wrestle with his dogs. Sorry for the long, exasperated vent about my K9 babies, but if anyone has any GOOD ideas I would love to hear them.
