Just cute and random.

OK so I don't have any cute pictures to actually blog about but I just needed to tell a few funny things that have happened lately.

Well, remember in my last post I mentioned Jaxon being too big for her bassinet and always ending up in the top right corner...well anytime I lay her in her bed or play pin and she falls asleep...she inches, rolls, scoots etc to the top right corner. I guess she just likes it up there.

Also, she hasn't started crawling persay...but she got up on her hands and knees today and dove forward. It was the funniest thing and I think it scared the poop out of her (b/c she litterally pooped). It was kind of like diving on a gym floor, only her arms were at her side. LIKE PENGUINS!! When they glide down ice...anyway it was super cute.

She also attended her first Abilene High pep rally today.

And last I have to tell a story about Tex. He LOVES to lay on top of our hot tub. It's his place to get away from Petey because Pete has no idea how to get up there. Well our hot tub lid blew off last night and Tex didn't realize it...I believe he went head first into it. Really I don't know. I got home and was going to let them in and he was soaked through, except his head (so maybe he didn't go head first). Either way...he took his first dip into a body of water and I think he is in shock. I wish I could have seen it, I'm sure it was hilarious.

Bigger and Bigger

Well, Jaxon is now too big to fit into her bassinet. She has actually been too big for a while now. When I would wake up at night to the sounds of her grunting, she would be in the top right corner unable to go anywhere. So we decided it was time for her to sleep in her big girl bed...well she hasn't done that yet because I got the Pack-n-Play down which she absolutely loves. The first time she was in it she learned how to roll all over the place. We had her on her back, and in the middle of it. 2 minutes later she was on her belly and had done a complete 180. And when she is tired of playing she puts herself to sleep. These are a few pictures of how she fell asleep the other day. Sorry you can't see her onesie but in case you were wondering, it says "Santa's Little Helper."
It's funny, the "blanket over the face...legs exposed" position is her daddy's favorite way to sleep too!
And this is how our lovely little girl wakes up every morning and after nap time. She just lays there and talks (sometimes she does it in her sleep and I think she's awake). She continued to just jabber on for about 5 minutes after the video cuts off...I would have recorded more but my memory card was full on the camera and it cut me off!

Turkey Day

Even though we were really sad we couldn't be with the Doty family in Smithville on Thanksgiving...we did have alot of fun in Abilene with the snow. Jaxon was in the funniest mood on her first Turkey Day. She helped me and Granny M. cook all morning long! And was full of funny faces as we sat around the table.

Around lunch time the snow began to fall...it was a perfect scene looking through our kitchen window.Petey and Tex really wanted to go outside and play in the really cool white stuff. And when we finally let them...they had the time of their lives. They wrestled, ran as fast as they could, ate the snow, and rolled around in it.

We took Jaxon out there too for a few minutes, she didn't know what to focus her eyes on with the hundreds of flakes falling around us!

Now that Jaxon is teething...she LOVES to bite (or gum) her tongue. It is the funniest thing...the faces she makes are great...adn then she starts to foam at the mouth too. There are bubbles everywhere.

Unfortunately Texas blew the big game again...in fact it put Jaxon to sleep.

I'm a big girl now!

Well after a day of slaving over a hot stove (the microwave), and mixing key ingredients to provide the perfect meal (breast milk and rice)...it is safe to say that Jaxon does not like my cooking. The faces in these pictures and videos are enough to prove it. All smiles before...not so much after. Oh well...it makes for cute pictures. I also threw in a few pictures of her passed out in her swing and in her chair. I love how "peaceful" she is. Especially with her mouth wide open and her hand stuffed in it...it is a blurry picture but you get the idea.

Fussy Face

Our little princess is hardly ever angry. She is just the most content baby (which I have said a million times). Well this week she has learned what we call the "Fussy Face." She blinks her eyes, crinkles her nose, and cries out. It is just about the funniest thing we have ever seen, and I think she continues to do it because we laugh so hard at her. In fact her Uncle Michael decided he needed to record it last night...the camera is a little shaky only because Michael was laughing so hard while he was recording.

Now the best part of the video is when I try to console her by putting her on my shoulder, and she is "happy" for just a moment and she starts blinking again, and tries to complain but nothing comes out of her mouth! It's so funny...you'll enjoy! Oh, and at the end she really does start to cry...so you will get to see that too, it doesn't happen very often so we decided to keep it on the clip.

Jaxon n Petey

Here are some more fun pictures and a little video of her eating her toes. Her flexibility amazes me. There are also some pictures of Petey giving her kisses...and her kicking him in the ear...and petting his ear with her feet...and he wanted to lick all over her...and then I wouldn't let him...so he went outside and ate the waterhose (Texas is angry with him for not sharing). k the video wouldn't work...maybe next time!

Serious Sunday

When you get "old" and married, and life after college starts, the number of friends you once had starts to diminish. Then, from that point on you realize what friends were meant to be put into your life. You know...the friends who make you smile when they call...and the friends that you can't wait to tell that you are pregnant, or you got a new job etc. Well these are mine and Mitchell's closest married friends, and we live almost 7 hours away from each other.

These are the friends who when they were dating...and got into a fight she would call me crying and he would call Mitchell...making sure that he was "in the right." We love them dearly Danni (Danielle and Bryan). She is my squealy friend...the type of friend that really makes you feel that she is SOOO excited to see you. She loves everything whole-heartedly and is a super strong woman. But when something goes wrong, her world can crash down. Bryan, her husband is Mitchell's number one man...I've never seen my husband get so giddy when anyone calls...but him and Bryan can talk about nothing for hours...and make me and Danni laugh until our abs hurt. Well right now our friends are 7 hours away from us...and we can't be there to hug them, and let them know that everything will be all right.

Danni's mom was just diagnosed with having breast cancer. I don't know all of the details but I know that right now that family is hurting and scared out of their minds. Leta is a strong woman and Chris is a strong man, and I have seen how each of them live "off of" each other...Danni and Dusty (Danni's brother) live off of her vibrancy too.

This is a scary, scary time for them...and since I am not there to help Danni through any of this...I just want to ask all of you for prayers. Pray that Leta and fight off this ugly cancer...that she can beat it like many other women before her. Pray that Chris can be strong, and know that the Lord will get him and his family through every painful moment of fighting this cancer...and pray that Danni and Dusty can keep their wits and humor and love alive throughout the heartbreaking moments like chemo. I know this family will make it through this...but it would help out if you would pray for them.

We now have a 3 year old in the house and I just wanted to share a few pictures of the cutest white dog, with the brown patch over the eye.

Now truthfully, these are pictures of Texas' birthday last April, but it was a big enough celebration to cross over to November...Tex is singing "Happy Birthday"

4 Months Old

Our girl had an exciting pre four-month birthday weekend! First she was so excited to have her Neena and her Papaw here. Then we were able to see the Abilene High Eagles demolish the Cooper Cougars (once again).

Then we had a baby blessing...and she was such a ham up there on stage. Ms. Suzetta must have been making funny faces because Jaxon cracked up on stage and was so sweet. Our smiley girl makes life so easy...I don't even remember life before her.
