J Blair

Well I got this new software and this is just a small video I made in a few minutes. I was just learning how to do a couple of things. Thought you would enjoy! Make sure you pause JD's play list at the bottom or two songs will try to play at the same time.

I love you!!

Well....first off let me tell everyone this is Mitchell. I don't usually write on this thing, it is all JD, but tonight I basically hacked into "our" account because I wanted to take a minute to tell my wife how much I love her. I know the Christmas holidays are hard on you, but I wanted to let you know that the holidays are great for me because of you!! I get to be with the most precious wife that has ever got to wear a wedding ring and the best mother that has ever given birth to a child...or adopted one...hahaha! . You are the world to me and without you in my life I would be lost. I thank God everyday for the love that we share, the beautiful family he has given us, the friendship and love to always be there for each other, but most of all for the time that he has given for us to hold hands and express our love. My love for you will never die!! When you are going through hard times so am i because I hate to see you hurt! Also know that not only does Jaxon love her "momma", but I love you for who you are and what you stand for! Thank you for giving me that one chance to take you out a date almost 9 years ago!! You are awesome!! For those of you rolling your eyes (probably my sisters) hush....sometimes these things need to be said!! HAAHAHAHAH...I love you JD!

I'm The Scgrinch!

Well, it's the most wonderful time of the year...for most people. I have developed a little of Scrooge's and the Grinch's attitude and I'm hoping that before Christmas Eve arrives I will pull a Cindy Lou Who and remember that the true meaning of Christmas has nothing to do with decorations and money and what you can and cannot give (because of the lack of money). You know...i love Christmas decor too...it probably is my most favorite thing, i love the lights...i love the stars and the snowmen...really i could go all day...but this year, it's all just beyond me. Anyway where is this rant going?? Oh. Right. Well my wonderful sister in law who is the most amazing photographer ever took some great pictures of the 3 of us, and mostly of this angel of a girl...and when i look at my fluffy hatted pictures of my precious daughter...a little bit of cindy lou who figures itself out in me and i am sooooo thankful to have a precious family to spend the holidays with and celebrate the birth of Christ Jesus...so there you go...Cindy Lou Who has found her way out of me...but I still wish I could give more than I am this year.

So, I'm moving on to brighter news...Jaxon looooves chocolate. She had little nibbles of my hershey bar last night...and couldn't stop asking for more, and this morning mitchell went to get doughnuts...and returned with a chocolate one for her. I'm pretty sure she finished it before me...and left some remains on her face!!

And if she wasn't already the biggest goober in the world...she decided that it is more fun to climb in and out of the the bottom of her stroller than it is to actually sit in it. Anyway...happy holidays...to all...and if you haven't recieved a Christmas card yet...it's because I haven't sent them :) and they will be more like Happy New Year cards! So Bah Humbug to all and to all a good night. JK Merry Christmas and Praise the King.

Cousinhood of the traveling boots

This is the story of 2 cousins who live too far away from each other.

They love each other very very much...and over Thanksgiving they shared many kisses...

And surprise faces too. But the one thing they really had in common was their love for their new shoes!!

They were green with eyes and a smiley face.

And while Avery clearly called them her frog boots...Jaxon pointed and said "dat...dat..." which of course means, "I love my frog boots too, Cousin Avery."

Not only did they run all over the country, but they mowed it too! With their wonderful Aunt Heather and Macy Lou. (Jaxon's melon is poking out of the top of the wagon)

And when they were through with the tractor and jumping in leaves...it was off to house to watch some TV.

Their Neena was in Heaven all through the night while all of her granddaughters watched Dora by her side.

Now Jaxon is lonely but still has her stylin boots to remind her of her country roots!
We are already missin our time in Smithville and can't wait to go back for Christmas!!!
In other news I have now seen Twilight in the theater 3 times...and the last time was the most memorable because I was able to drag Mitchell to the theater with me to see it...and I wasn't just pleased to hear that he liked it...I was more excited about the fact that we left the theater with him asking questions about the book...and the next books...and the next movies!!! I mean he was really interested. I love him.
Oh! and in other news...I guess I haven't made my formal blog announcement...and since Danni already has...I guess I need to. Jaxon is going to be a big sis. EEP! I have no idea how far along I am...but my first appointment is tomorrow morning. And this little nudger is no different from the last...I have already been huggin the toilet for the last 3 weeks. Wahoo!

wow. it has been so long since i have blogged that i almost forgot how. sorry for my absence, i got hooked to another series of books and seriously i think i have read somewhere around 23 books within the last 3 weeks....insane, i know. but well worth the obsession. Jaxon herself finds herself fixed on one book. it sits on my shelf between 50 or so more...and this is the book she always picks...and sits down with "A Story of Texas Football." Mitch is sooo proud.

today, November 21st a day that i had been waiting for, for about 7 months. why you ask?? well it is the opening day for Twilight!!! amazingly enough i went to the 12:01 viewing last night and went to bed at 3:00 this morning with the biggest smile on my face. the movie was great...and if you are a fan of the book i suggest you watch it. if not...you should still watch it...but there will be a few things you will have missed out on. the movie wasn't perfect because there were a couple scenes missing that i think really should have been in there....and there needed to be just a few more kissing scenes....but all in all i was so excited and loved every minute of it...i laughed out loud maybe 30 times. it was great. k so moving on....

Jaxon is a goofball and a half. get ready for an update on her:

she has a mouth full of teeth...her hair is getting thicker and one little patch is longer than the rest and sometimes it looks like a hideous duck tail...so i curl it with my finger...she points at everything and says "dat" until you tell her what it is...she goes crazy when dora the explorer comes on...no worries i will video her one day...she has a couple of phrases that if you are around her enough you know what she is saying...for example. if you give her something she says "teku" which i believe is thank you...if you ask her "where's the so and so" she will find it and say "dAReeeeeeeeeee" and really what she is saying there is "there it is"...it's high pitched and everything.

i put a video on here of her and her cackling at petey...she loves these dogs.

Funny Faces

About a week ago Jaxon discovered her bottom lip. She literally learned how to stick it out when she thought the time was necessary. Well, a couple days ago the bottom lip evolved into something more devastating. First what you need to know is that when we say anything involving the word "bed" life is over as we know it...so to provoke this hilarious face, I threw the B word out there a few times.

Lastly, Tex felt that he needed to be added to a blog, so he threw on a pair of Baby J's glasses and asked if he looked cute.

Drama Queen?

Mitchell texted me tonight while I was working and the message contained this: WOW the Cross Canadian Ragweed concert is so loud that it is shaking the house. To which I begin to think of how much I love it when his inner drama queen comes out. Well needless to say, I get off of work...pull up into the driveway and while I am still sitting in the car I can hear and feel the vibrations of the concert. Then I walk to the house to unlock the door and I can literally hear the windows shaking. CRAZY! We live atleast a mile and half away from where the concert took place and I could hear every word. Don't they know people are trying to sleep?! But obviously not me...because it's 12:00 and I am posting.

Goofy Girl

Yesterday I was doing the dishes...and suddenly realized how quiet things were in the living room. I surveyed the room to see if I could see this brown headed baby in front of the couch...and I couldn't so I had to leave my kitchen to get a better look of what may be going on. Well this is what I find. Jaxon decided to get a closer look at her world of fun and joined them in her basket o' toys. She stayed in there for 30 minutes.
Now...I love my friends. Like, really, totally, and absolutely adore them. I've decided that I have surrounded myself with wonderful people who love me for me...and I love even more that they have embraced my daughter and husband. The other day I went to check the mail...only to find a package between my screen door and the big door...What could it be? I opened it up and screamed (quite literally). My bestest friend Val found baby J the most perfect item of clothing EVER. check it out. That's right "future fan of twilight" i love it. She looks like her lips are swollen in this pic but she is just blowin "raspberries." And the band aid is for her shots that she had yesterday :( She was a trooper tho...she only cried a little and wasn't fussy at all throughout the day.
If you can see it in this picture she has pig tails. kind of. The only way I could get her to sit long enough was to put the Backyardigans on...but I had to try it out.
Have I mentioned how much she loves her rocking chair that Aunt Ashley got her....she climbs in and out of it a 70 times a day.

My sister in love, Ashley, tagged me...so I guess I need to follow along with the rules! Ashley has been in my life since I started dating Mitchell and her and Heather combined make me the happiest sister in law ever...I couldn't have married into a better family. Love ya girl. K so here are the rules;
1. Link to the person who tagged you (i don't know how...but it's Ashley)2. Post the rules on your blog3. Write six random thoughts about yourself4. Tag six or so people at the end of your post5. Let each person know he or she has been tagged6. Let the tagger know when your entry is posted
Six random things about me:
1. Even when I am dead tired I stay up every night reading till 1 or 2 in the morning.
2. I have so many favorite TV shows it makes me sick (has anyone watched the EX List? Totally adorable and I love it)
3. I let my dogs lick all over my face...even with their nappy breath.
4. I know exactly where Kelly Clarkson was the day Britney Spears shaved her head (bwahahaha...actually I can't remember but my friend Val can tell you).
5. Jaxon is the funniest person I know...I taught her to stick her tongue out...is that wrong?
6. I hate when people pop their knuckles...it literally makes me cringe.
I tag: Valerie (surprise)

Eep it's been forever.

Well hey guys, sorry for the "long time no post" business. A lot of nothing has happened in the last couple weeks. David is back in Iraq. My uncle is having a cat scan tomorrow to see what's going on in that body of his, Jaxon is growing and running, and talking (well I can understand her), and I'm reading again...that's actually what's been going on. Anyway, I know some are dying for pictures of baby J, so here you go.First I would like to formally introduce you all to your backyard friends the Backyardigans! One of Jaxon's amazing babysitters found these and sent them our way. Thank you Sarah...Jaxon is so blessed with so much love...I spotted Uniqua the other day at Books a Million...I'm going to have to go get her to complete the set.She really loves these guys...she carries Pablo and Austin around everywhere. And since you haven't seen a video in a while...here is one. It's really not much of anything except Farmer Jo is playing the harmonica for about 10 seconds...it's funny watching her really breakdown...of course she doesn't do it that long in the video...but it's funny either way. (disclaimer: ignore annoying lady voice in video...bleh I hate hearing myself)
And lastly, a dedication to the beautiful bride and her new hubby. Kellianne, you were absolutely flawless that day. Y'all looked so happy and MFEO (made for each other...for those who haven't seen Sleepless in Seattle). I'm so happy I was able to share that day with you, your family, and friends. I debated sharing one of Kellianne's classy beautiful pictures with y'all, but everybody else did that so check out their blogs...i just wanted to show her true goofy side :)
It's elimination time!

Speaking of friends...a shout out to the coolest girls out there. I don't think I have ever had so much fun in all my life. I seriously have never consistently laughed so hard. I will never look at Tea, Dr. Pepper, crowded movie theatres, Bebe's kids, Convenient stores/McDonald's and the Exxons across the street, Valtoids, a light bulb, east and west...or left and right, Twilight, Pig-Latin, Directions from a phone, frenship bracelets...actually even cooler...book club bracelets, airports: CD&E, the same way without giggling to myself first.

I love you guys...uff-ray.

I'm Back!

It is weird looking at a computer screen after 8 days has gone by without it. It's almost a feeling of "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE?" and "wow. my life seems so much simpler without having to look at you!" Anyway, I had planned coming home from my friends wedding and blog about the greatest weekend ever. But right now my heart isn't in to sharing all of my fun details...although I have never laughed so consistently hard in all my life. I will have this perma-headache forever I think. Anyway, more on the weekend later. Right now I am heading straight down the serious road.

You know those stories where you end up feeling sorry for the person who is getting jipped by life because he or she is such a great person...and why do things like this happen to great people? Well this is basically the situation. This is a story about my favorite uncle. And to all my other uncles out there, I apologize but Georgie is only 8 years older than me and the closest thing to an older brother that I have ever had.

Growing up we had the typical competing behavior...me competing for his love...him competing...well just to get rid of me. I was the follower, I like X-Men because he liked X-Men, Batman because he did, He-man because he had the tower, and so on and so forth. I wanted to mimic him in every way possible, because he was my "older sibling." Our favorite competition story is one where he is eating a pickle...and since he is eating one...I of course want one. So I beg and beg and beg for him to get me a pickle. And when he finally does, I take my first bite into the not so tasty jalapeno. I may have been 4 then, him 12, but we never are reluctant to relive that moment when we see each other.

As years go by, I take note of all his high school stories, just thinking he is so cool. And then I relish in his college breaks because I thought it was so cool that he got a whole month for Christmas vacation. I started listening to music that he seemed to worship...Aerosmith, U2, etc. And then he got married to his supercool wife and our friendship turned into one of grown up family members...where we talk when we see each other, and our kids now play together. I was so blessed to have him sing me down the aisle 4 and a half years ago on my wedding day. I was ecstatic when he said he would sing and play at all...he literally has a voice of an angel, and can play the guitar like a god. Secretly I have always wanted him to be a rock star so I could boast that he is my uncle and once gave me a jalapeno.

Anyway, he is one of the sweetest pieces to my families puzzle and we recently found out that he has a type of cancer that is resting deep into his throat. I don't know all the details...and I'm not sure what they know yet, but besides my worst fears of losing him, I am so scared that when he makes it through this alive...that I will not be able to hear his sweet voice again, whether talking or singing. I believe they meet with doctors today, and talk about their procedures next week...but I'm asking if everyone could please pray for this delicate situation, their two sweet children who may know nothing of this, for Karen's strength and peace, and for Georgie's safety. I know there is always room for a miracle, but they are short without prayer, so please keep them on your minds.

HE'S BACK!!!!!

Well, this morning...around 9:30...Jaxon and I are still snoozin and I get a phone call saying my brother will be here at 11:00...I jump, spin, fall out of bed, while tangled in my sheets and get ready faster than I ever had. I'm sure y'all think that an hour and a half is plenty time to get ready...but really Jaxon needs her breakfast...and I NEED my coffee, which I still have only had half a cup today...and we just like to take our time getting ready for the day. Anyway. We did it...we made it...and I have tons of pictures to share of my brother's homecoming!!

I know..where is he? Well let me work into the pics...first Jaxon is stylin in a little polka-dot frock type thing...i love it...and she likes to keep the hood up over her head (surprisingly enough b/c she hates things over her hair) Giving Pops a kiss...share the love sister.

Jaclyn is all smiles waiting for her daddy to come home.

Jaxon and her Neenee. And here he is...blurry pic...but Jaclyn ran past the gate into her daddy's arms.
Mama and bubb.
bubb and baby J. he was trying to hide from the camera...but I'm just too fast. There is even a hint of a smile on his face.
He LOVES being pictured! Luckily he let us take a few shots.

Jaclyn couldn't get enough of her daddy.
The happy fam.

Awe look at my cute cute cute daughter...and my puffy face (remember half a cup of coffee)
All us kids...and Papa in the back ground. I'm so happy everyone is home. *Jaxon is telling everyone to be quiet.

Also, the other night we took Jaxon to the fair. She was a little overwhelmed and didn't want us to let her down...but I think she enjoyed it. She did have her first funnel cake. and loved it.
This was her face, when I told her we were going to the fair...she really didn't seem to care too much.

And even more disappointed when I told her she had to wear a bow. But she kept it in all night.

She stared at the Ferris wheel for a while...then she looked like she wanted to try to ride something...But you have to be this tall...and she's not. Next year though :) While there, Mitch tried to win a big bear by shootin some hoops...and $15 later...he said "screw this...I have never missed 9 free throws in a row" which is true...janky fair and their shenanigans.
She LOVED the petting zoo...we pet donkeys, cows, goats, and a horse. Here are two cute goats who were head butting through the fence...it was adorable.

Jaxon didn't want to go home empty handed so she thought she would try her hand at the fair games and WON!! We played the "pick the duck game" and she picked 3 ducks and won a bear! I think she really just wanted to jump in the water with the ducks.
her bear.
And after we got to wear our new jammies that have frogs on them...she points to each frog and says "dat...dat...dat"
