Thuper Exthiting Thursday???

I don't have anything to say about Jaxon except that she is totally excited about Christmas (or I am for her). She really seems to be getting over her first cold...especially since she handed it over to me (YAY!!)

On the other hand, this is a fun video of one of my friends a few years ago...I would love to see if she could still do this. I was going to put this video on "Wordless Wednesday" because it always leaves me speechless...however the computer and I did not see eye to eye yesterday. Anyway without further ado...here is Kellianne!! And I have no idea why this video is sideways...it's just going to be one battle that I am not having with my computer.

A Little Girl and Her Daddy.

My husband is home on a Sunday afternoon. Which means two things...one, that Abilene High lost yesterday to Pflugerville in an incredible game. It went into overtime...and I really thought they were going to pull out another nailbiter. I stayed home again with Jaxon because she has the sniffles still, but we listened to it on the radio, which I think induces more stress than being at the game. The announcers would fumble more than the kids playing..."Pflugerville fumbled, AND THE EAGLES RECOVER...oh wait, no the Panthers recover their own ball..." seriously this was said maybe 3 times...I wanted to wring the guy's neck...toying with my emotions and all. Anyway...the other thing that him being home is that everyone here is so happy. Right now everyone is taking a nap on their daddy...Jaxon, Petey, and Tex. Mitch will now dive right into basketball...and hopefully have another great season of sports!
Christmas is now only 9 days away and Jaxon is so excited. We just had a fun weekend with Mitchell's ole roomate from the good ole days and his wife (Cowboy and Amanda)...They were here for graduation and we tried talking them into having kids ALL weekend long. Jaxon will need someone to play with sometime soon...Danni, I think you and Bryboy can get to work on this too!
Jaxon got to go meet Santa a few days ago...and of course was the sweetest thing EVER! She smiled...laughed and pulled on Santa's beard. Well I'm leaving you will pictures of a little girl and her father...fighting over the remote.

Oh and he's not asleep...

A couple years ago I picked up a habit of reading. But really only fun books: Harry Potter, Narnia, DaVinci Code etc... you know books that keep you on the edge of your seat but are completely fiction. Well I just picked up my first book sense I finished the last installment of Potter (sad day). It is called "The Child Called 'It.'" It is about a boy who was severly abused by his mother. While the author gives his childhood testimony, all I wanted to do was hold Jaxon. I can't imagine a mother or a father doing the things to their child that this author went through. Yes, it is a true account of this man's life, and there are 2 other books that coincide with the first. All I have read is the first and it never answers the questions of why or what made the mother snap...or why the father never took him away...I know this is all very vague to those of you who haven't read the book...but he has brothers, had a normal childhood for his first 5 years, and then one day his mother coined him the slave of the family...she poisoned him, stabbed him, placed him over the stove, starved him, and yet he still had the will to fight through everything and live.
And all the while I'm reading this, Jaxon is laying in my arms, and I am crying about the first time I may have to be stern with her or spank her...or what if by some unfortunate circumstance she is around a person who abuses her in another way. All these thoughts flood my mind of what I will do to the person who may harm my daughter.
I guess these are the thoughts of just about every parent...it's a love I do not know how to describe, but it's something you can feel while reading this book.

Thank God 4 YouTube

I know I have already blogged today...but I feel that everyone of you need to see my charming husband in action. I mean on the gym floor for the Abilene High Pep Rally. If any of you have ever seen "Evolution of Dance," a video from YouTube, that is where this is inspired from. If you haven't seen it, then you need to watch that one first from YouTube. If you have enjoy the AHS teachers and coaches. If you need help finding Mitch...he is one of the coaches who is doing the Robot...and towards the end dancing. Through most of the video you can see him bouncing up and down in the back left part of the screen. Enjoy...cuz I sure did!
Now I couldn't ever figure out how to put a Youtube video on here...so here is the direct link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YluMRU2wAl8

Adjusting to Jaxon

With the first baby sickness, comes alot of other new things. Things like cool mist humidifiers, saline drops, etc. Something Jaxon is pretty fond of right now is the baby Vicks...something she's not so fond of is the baby bogie sucker. Well as Jaxon is getting used to things...so are the dogs. As much as Jaxon hates the baby bogie sucker, I think she talked Petey into destroying it for her...

I'm not sure how Pete was able to get this, seeing that it was high on her changing table. But he did and now its gone...lucky for Jaxon, we have 5 more.(

(This is an OLD picture of him, and he is HUGE now compared to this...anyway, this is his "I'ma P.I.M.P" picture)

Now Texas, remember this crazy guy...he is totally infatuted with her cool mist humidifier. Basically it is a fan...he sits there infront of it the majority of the day. And just imagine...if you have ever blown in a dogs face/ear they do a couple of things. One is that their ears bob up and down...and the other is that they "bite" at you. Well this is what Tex does all day. He's so funny.

This is a video of Jaxon trying to crawl. Of course she was doing it alot better when the camera was in front of her face. Enjoy!

So how is Jaxon? She may be doing better...I really can't tell. She does seem to be miserable when her Vicks rubs off...but other than that, she is still the snot nosed face kid she was the other day. And not just snot nosed. When she woke up an hour ago, she had crusty snot on her eyelids and cheek. I couldn't help but laugh, and she looked at me like "how dare you laugh at me in this condition?" She is exhausted. She has been sitting in my lap twice now, when she just starts to nod off (like an America's Funiest Video...only there is no bowl of food, for her to fall into). She did sleep A LOT better last night than she did on Saturday night. AND she reached for me yesterday...my heart broke. It was so cute, after our rough night, Mitch was going to hold her before he had to go to work, and I was making breakfast. I came in to see what she was doing on his lap...she smiled and leaned over with her arms out for me! I love her.

Wild Woman

About 25 years ago, I had my first encounter with allergies, being congested, boogers running down my face etc. And I remember the way I would sleep because, still when I get sick like that...I sleep the only way possible for me to breath. First I'll turn and toss for a few hours but I always end up sleeping Indian Style with my legs and bending over at the waste while lying my arms and head over a mound of pillows...well why is that important?
This morning at 4am I heard, what I had thought to be bubbles blown out of Jaxon's mouth. I was more coming out of her nose than her mouth...but there were definitely booger bubbles everywhere. Poor child.
I sat in the bathroom with her at 4:30 and turned on a HOT shower to let the steam build up...I've used the humidifier and everything. Good news is, that I have the most compliant baby ever...and she's still really not fussy. She does not however not being able to breath while she eats. Anyway...to compare her sickness to what mine use to be like...she fell asleep in the middle of her bed earlier, and when I went to check on her this is what I found.
Before I had the camera she originally had her right arm around the Lamb in the top right corner.
Now she's holding on to her bumper pad.
Oh and Abilene High just won again!!! 20-10 baby...we take on Pflugerville (however you spell that) next week! I obviously missed the game due to Jaxon's poor nose/throat/chest...but we won!
